Remote Employee Monitoring
Problem:
ProAcademy provides training and risk assessment services across various areas of security. Since employees can work remotely, it is difficult to monitor their work directly. It is also challenging to verify the proper operation of company-provided computers and software.
Solution:
Management prepared a policy and guidelines for using the new system, which were provided to employees for review. When developing these documents, current approaches to organizing work processes were taken into account, including the use of video and audio recording to enhance workplace security.
Meera Nair
CEO ProAcademy LLC
The company successfully implemented a time tracking system, creating a more transparent work environment. The new system helped improve employee engagement, strengthen team collaboration, and reduce the costs for paper timesheets.
Problem:
Employees were struggling to complete tasks on time because the company network was overloaded by torrent traffic and some staff were distracted by computer games. As a result, the company lost a major contract. The manager needed a reliable way to monitor employee activity and ensure compliance with company policies.
Solution:
INSIDER collected and analyzed data on staff activity, which made it possible to block access to a number of programs and sites at the system level. Through the reports, the manager learned that some of the suspected employees were actually productive. We also managed to solve problems with network congestion and increase the speed of task execution.
Vikram Singh
CEO of a CRM integration company
The system helped the manager make better-informed decisions, retain valuable employees, and save $13,000 in additional hiring costs.
Problem:
The manager usually arrives at the office at 12:00 PM, while the team's working day starts at 9:30 AM. This made it difficult to understand how employees used their working time before the manager arrived.
Solution:
The manager installed the INSIDER system and began tracking employee start and end times. According to the reports, active PC work for some employees only began at 11:30 AM. The reports showed that some employees were starting active work only 20-30 minutes before the manager arrived.
Riya Deshmukh
CEO of an online agency
After addressing the issue with the team, productivity increased by 45%. The manager can now travel for business, while maintaining visibility into team activity.
Problem:
One of the marketing employees began delivering weaker client-acquisition results, although time-tracking data showed activity levels close to the team average. The company discussed the performance issue with the employee, but the results did not improve. The employee explained that the workload itself was the main constraint.
Solution:
To better understand the performance issue, the company deployed INSIDER on the company’s computer and reviewed activity data in accordance with its internal monitoring policies. All actions of the marketer were recorded in real time, screenshots were taken, and the client also analyzed correspondence collected using the built-in keylogger and screenshots.
Rohan Gupta
CEO IT companies
INSIDER activity data supported the company's internal investigation and helped management make an informed staffing decision, reducing potential future losses by approximately $7,800 in annual salary costs.
Problem:
Sales representatives are expected to regularly visit retail locations, but managers had no reliable way to verify whether all assigned visits were being completed. There are concerns that some employees are skipping locations, handling personal matters during working hours, while store employees cover for their absence.
Solution:
INSIDER was installed on corporate smartphones to monitor employee routes and activity. Each employee received an assigned route plan that was expected to be followed. The system revealed that some representatives were not following their routes. Instead of visiting retail locations, some were visiting beauty salons, shopping malls, or not leaving home during working hours.
Sneha Rao
CEO trading company
Sales representatives' productivity increased by 50% after implementing INSIDER. They can now inspect all assigned sites while still having capacity for other operational tasks.
Problem:
Around September, the company experienced a significant decline in its product renewal rate. The quality control department began contacting customers to find out why they had chosen other providers. In most cases, customers had received competing offers from other organizations. One client also reported receiving calls from several different companies. The company conducted an internal investigation and discovered that one of its employees had been selling the customer database.
Solution:
Following this incident, the company decided to implement the INSIDER system. The solution enabled the company to capture screenshots of user activity on PCs and analyze employee behavior, with particular attention to users accessing the CRM system. The investigation revealed that an employee who did not require access to the database for work had been entering the CRM during lunch breaks, when no one else was in the office, and copying customer data page by page.
Sanjay Desai
CSO
The employee responsible for the incident no longer works for the company. Although the original damage could not be reversed, INSIDER helped identify the source of the incident and reduce the risk of further data loss.
Problem:
Over the past year, the company had been developing an explosion-proof computer – an innovative solution with potential applications in multiple industries, including aerospace and rocketry. Approximately $195,000 had been invested in the development, testing, and assembly of the device. When one of the engineers left the company, he took a copy of a 900 MB archive containing all technical drawings, documentation, and development data.
Solution:
The company evaluated several employee monitoring solutions and selected INSIDER. Thanks to the functionality of the software, he will be able to prove copyright for future inventions in court and promptly learn about suspicious actions of employees.
Karan Malhotra
CIO
We chose INSIDER for its straightforward deployment, simple administration and the ability to monitor key employee activity from anywhere.
Problem:
The company faced a decline in sales performance and needed a reliable solution to monitor remote sales representatives, improve work planning, and ensure effective customer interactions.
Solution:
The monitoring system helped the company analyse employee productivity and understand which tasks were best performed in the office or remote work. And thanks to working time tracking, you can find out at what time of day specific employees achieve maximum productivity.

Employee monitoring software has become a broad category. Some products are designed primarily for automatic time tracking, others focus on productivity analytics, and employee computer monitoring software adds deeper visibility into activity on work PCs through applications, websites, screenshots or screen recording. Security-oriented platforms may go further into user activity monitoring, behavioural rules, risk detection and DLP capabilities. Buyers should therefore avoid comparing products only by the number of features on a pricing page or by the lowest advertised price.
Employee Time Tracking System: What It Is, How It Works, and How to Choose Software in 2026. Useful articles and information. “INSIDER” program for recording working hours and monitoring employee actions.
Employee engagement remains a significant management challenge. Gallup's State of the Global Workplace 2026 reports that only 23% of employees in India were engaged at work in 2025, while 59% were not engaged and 18% were actively disengaged. At the same time, remote, hybrid and digitally managed work has made employee monitoring easier than ever. Organisations can track working hours, application and website usage, active and idle periods, schedules, screenshots and other elements of the digital workday.
I track productivity metrics, unproductive activity and time away from the computer. The system helps me quickly understand productivity patterns for individual employees and departments over any selected period. With INSIDER, I can see the workload of each employee and make the right management decisions regarding the reallocation of resources between departments, clients, or projects.
I often go on business trips. Previously, I had no way of knowing what the employees were doing in my absence. I was concerned about attendance and productivity while I was away. After implementing INSIDER, the data confirmed some of those concerns. Some employees were late, some took extended lunch breaks, and some showed consistently low activity levels. I addressed these issues with the team, and after that, working-time compliance improved. Thanks to INSIDER, I no longer have to worry. Now I have clear visibility into team activity even when I am away from the office.
Our new business analyst was repeatedly missing project deadlines. INSIDER helped us identify that the employee was spending time providing clients with additional services outside the agreed scope. As a result, the analyst received a positive performance review and a bonus, while the clients received invoices for the extra work.
We use the INSIDER On-Premises version. It works great, and technical support is quick to resolve any issues. Using this service, we track working hours, monitor performance, and prevent incidents. Even if something happens (data theft, etc.), we have detailed activity records. INSIDER also takes screenshots and monitors communications, email, and more. Generally, this program is perfect for companies that need high accountability and want to protect proprietary data.
INSIDER helps us monitor the quality of our employees' work daily. Our company has a flexible schedule and hourly pay, which makes it difficult to estimate how much time each person actually worked. Previously, we paid based on trust, but now everything is completely fair. Personally, I like the ability to track performance against targets. This helps me understand an employee’s skill level and plan tasks more effectively. Overall, INSIDER prevents the company from wasting money on unproductive time and helps optimize department workflows.
